Week 3 and 50 Posts!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! I am sorry for not writing again sooner, but life is starting to pick up again, but that is still no excuse. Week 3 of W2020 semester is here and the Philosophy readings are kicking my ass! Latin II is also doing rather well (since I have two courses this semester) and I am really enjoying having school as the side-hustle (work being my primary), I just need to work on a few things personally in order to properly do right by my College self (thus correcting behavior).

The first of those is not lord over the class with my alleged knowledge of a subject. I am not 18 anymore, I do not need to “attempt” to compete with the so called “smart kids” in the class. I am one of them, I know it, so I need to just focus on myself and getting myself ahead! My new motto for University in the 2020s is “Amicitia sed non Amici” which from Latin to English loosely translates to “friendly, but not friends”. It means if someone wants to put in the effort to be friends I will allow that, but I am not here looking for a group of friends to affirm who I am. I have my friends already. College made them, Uni is a job…I am here because I have a job to do, slowly while living life on the side.

The second thing that I will want to do is learn to focus when I sit down to do homework and not get easily distracted. This will take a lot more time since i am LITERALLY put the PRO in procrastination. I was the King of doing things last minute and getting an A- or something in College. The stress was real, but the marks were there. I cannot live that way anymore. Time to focus!

Wish me luck and I will be back on here soon y’all! I am also so happy that I finally made it to the mini milestone of 50 posts! That is awesome!

Talk later!
