Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Despite having the late working nights, I was out and about during the day today because I had allergy testing to get done since I have been suffering under some of the effects of an allergen (of some kind) without really knowing what to do about it.
I got to the clinic about an hour before my appointment, just cause I wanted to sit inside somewhere a little warmer than outside, and luck would have it that the person before me never showed for their appointment, and so I got in about 45 minutes before my appointment was scheduled for! Thank you Universe! I got into the back room, they did normal check up stuff then the prick testing began. I was not quite prepared for what this was, but it was not all that bad. The nurse pricked me about 30 times with various allergens and when she went to check them afterwards this is where I was wondering what was really going on with me
So it turns out that I did not react at all to the various allergens that I was pricked with, so when the doctor came in he told me that there are sometimes so many things in the air that we just do not have a test for and so I was just set off by some random thing in the air and so the doctor ended up prescribing me a steroid-based nasal spray (which I can already kind of feel working) and also told me to buy some Hydrasense. All good things and essentially should help to treat my nose, and the doc essentially said that it will all be treated symptomatically since there is no specific allergen.
I am essentially going to start using some eye drops I have always had (but keep forgetting to use) and these nasal sprays with some antihistamines and all should clear up in time!
Thanks for reading, new Philosophical piece coming up later tonight!
